Instructions for Authors


Writing Rules

Those manuscripts to be submitted to ULUTURKAD should be prepared according to the following Article Rules.

General Rules

We accept the manuscript(s) written in Turkish, English, German and French languages.

Try to make sure that there are no grammatical errors, typos and that your manuscript doesn’t have sentence composition and structure issues. 

Avoid using colors except for black and white in your manuscripts because the layout of the journal supports only black and white color.

Page Layout

Authors should adopt the following rules for the text to be written in their manuscript(s). These rules are meant to be for whole text which may include abstract, keywords, headings and references.

Title of Article
1. Concise and informative.

2.The first letter of the each word should be capitalized and Palatino Linotype  14 pt.

Abstract/Keywords

1. There should be Turkish and English abstracts at the beginning of each article.

2. Provide a structured abstract of the paper (i.e., purpose, methodology, and major conclusions). 

3. The abstract should not exceed 200 words.

4. Abstract and keywords should be written in Palatino Linotype font, 10 pt and single spacing.

5. Immediately after the abstract, provide a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords.

Introduction
Provide an adequate background of the research problem, state the objectives and the significance of the study. Avoid a detailed literature review or a summary of the results.

Methodology
Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced (i.e., population and sampling, research instrument, reliability and validity, data collection, data analysis, etc.).

Results
Results should be clear and concise. Use tables and figures to clearly present your findings.

Discussion and conclusion
This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. Discuss the main conclusions of the study and provide recommendations for future research.

References
Follow the 6th edition of APA (American Psychological Association) Style. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). References should be arranged alphabetically by author surname.

Tables and Figures
Give every table and figure a brief but clear and explanatory title. The caption for a table should appear above the table, while the caption for a figure should appear below the figure.

Tables should be justified in the text. To avoid any unintended changes during the copy editing process, please use the drawing canvas function for figures in Microsoft Word.

Use 10 pt. size for table/figure captions and the content. Boldface the word “Table” or “Figure” and the associated number in the caption (see below). Before and after the table, 12 nk spaces should be left.
